We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of software development lifecycles and be proficient in Linux and VMWare. As a Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our technology infrastructure. Additionally, desirable skills such as ITIL Foundation Certification, knowledge of NiFi, Docker expertise, and experience with Jira (Custom Plugins) will set you apart in this role.


Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles: The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, enabling them to effectively support and troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Proficiency with Linux: Proficiency in Linux is essential, as you will work closely with Linux-based systems and be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting them.
  • Experience with VMWare: Experience with VMWare is a key requirement, as you will be involved in managing virtualized environments and ensuring their optimal performance.

Desirable Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation Certification: Possession of an ITIL Foundation Certification will be advantageous in managing IT service processes and providing efficient support.
  • Familiarity with NiFi: Familiarity with Apache NiFi will be beneficial in handling data integration and flow management.
  • Docker Expertise: Proficiency in Docker will be valuable for containerization and deployment processes.
  • Experience with Jira (Custom Plugins): Prior experience with Jira, especially in custom plugin development and configuration, is a plus.
  • RSA Knowledge: Knowledge of RSA tools and techniques is advantageous for ensuring data security and access control.
  • Competence in MySQL and Mongo: Competence in database systems, specifically MySQL and Mongo, will be essential for data management and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to Evesham: Exposure to Evesham technologies and systems is a bonus.
  • ELK Stack Familiarity: Familiarity with the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack for log and data analysis will be valuable.
  • TRL Catapans Experience: Experience with TRL Catapans or related technologies is a significant asset.
  • Proficiency with Windows Thin Client/Server: Proficiency in Windows-based thin client/server systems is necessary for managing mixed IT environments.
  • Knowledge of Networks and Infrastructure: A strong understanding of network architecture and infrastructure is required for troubleshooting and maintaining our network systems.
