The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background in the Public sector, adept at working across the product delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of translating business needs into technical solutions, facilitating analysis sessions, and collaborating effectively within an agile multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across the product delivery lifecycle, aligning business needs with technical capabilities to define solutions that deliver value.
  • Facilitate analysis sessions, extracting critical requirements from stakeholders.
  • Clearly explain analysis to Developers, QAs, Product Managers, and assurance specialists throughout the analysis cycle.
  • Collaborate with User-Centered Design colleagues to shape and iterate service design using agile principles.
  • Break down epics into user stories, collaborating with technical colleagues and subject matter experts to deliver outcome-focused solutions.
  • Ensure user stories align with application architecture and security principles.
  • Work within an agile multidisciplinary team of Developers, Designers, and QAs.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure effective implementation of user stories.
  • Work with QA colleagues to develop tests and support quality assurance.
  • Ensure completed stories are signed-off by the Product Manager.
  • Facilitate estimation and prioritization sessions with the team.
  • Maintain an audit trail of delivering user needs and business requirements through tools like Jira.
  • Document analysis, questions, assumptions, and processes using appropriate tools such as Confluence.
  • Work with the BA team and wider analysis community to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Actively participate in continuous learning and improvement of analysis processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • GDS/Public sector experience
  • Strong experience in working with agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to break down epics into user stories and develop acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
