Lead DevOps Engineer

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your work will involve building systems from the ground up with a focus on reliability, availability, and security. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery processes. This role also offers the opportunity to work with multi-cloud environments, advanced data replication, and observability tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure solutions using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, AWS MSK and more.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and release processes.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to ensure consistency and reproducibility of environments.
- Set up and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build, configure, and monitor systems in multi-cloud environments, hosting on both public and private clouds.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability using tools like Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch.
- Implement security best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Enable data replication and archival processes to support robust data management strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, working closely with development and operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and drive project delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda and RDS.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hosting on both public and private clouds.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
- Experience setting up systems from scratch, emphasizing reliability, availability, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Golang for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong experience with data replication and data archival strategies.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, are a plus.
