Azure Engineer
Location: Remote- must be UK based
Work Pattern: Full Time - initially a 3 month role, potential for extension
Security Clearance: must hold active SC

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer with expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain Azure solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Architecture & Design: Design and architect scalable, secure, and efficient solutions on Azure.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation and architectural blueprints for Azure deployments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into Azure solutions.
- Implementation Oversight: Oversee end-to-end implementation ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
- Testing & Handover: Support system testing, handover, and integration efforts, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Documentation Handoff: Prepare comprehensive documentation for handover to the Support team.
- Identity & Access Management: Deliver infrastructure solutions with Entra/AD integration.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor cloud resources for performance, cost, and security, and implement optimizations as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Azure infrastructure and service issues.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, Active Directory, and architecture.
- Basic Cloud/Azure fundamental knowledge (e.g., AZ-900 certification).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in using Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft networking and security practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104).
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environments.
