We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating the integrity, accuracy, and performance of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The role requires a strong background in testing, quality assurance, and cloud technologies, with a focus on Azure data services.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test strategies and test plans for Azure-based data solutions.

Validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions to ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability.

Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database).

Collaborate with data engineers and developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.

Utilize Azure DevOps for managing test plans, test cases, and defects tracking.

Create automated test scripts to ensure continuous validation of data pipelines and workflows.

Conduct performance testing to ensure that the data solutions meet required performance benchmarks.

Perform data validation and ensure data consistency between source and destination systems.

Generate and review test reports, and provide insights to ensure high-quality delivery.

Ensure that data security, privacy, and governance policies are adhered to during testing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

3+ years of experience in data testing, with at least 1 year of experience in Azure data services.

Hands-on experience with Azure data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Database.

Proficient in SQL for data validation, transformation, and extraction.

Experience with test automation tools for data testing (e.g., Selenium, Postman, PowerShell).

Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration and test management.

Strong understanding of ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses.

Experience with API testing and data governance frameworks.

Solid understanding of data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.

Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).

Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Developer).
